There are still many people worldwide who lack basic necessities such as clean water, food, medical care, education, and clothing. GAD aims to alleviate these needs.
By building relationships with locals, we aim to develop a better understanding of their needs, desires, and hopes. Our long-term goal is to provide sustainable support and offer assistance in emergencies.
In regions affected by poverty, finding long-term solutions is crucial to break the cycle of poverty. Our projects aim to provide not only short-term assistance but also enable sustainable changes. Through nutrition, water, education, and healthcare, we seek to empower people.
While sustainability is crucial, there are situations and people for whom immediate help is necessary in times of crisis. Often, prompt action is required to assist those in their greatest need. Even though not all forms of aid are sustainable, they still alleviate suffering and provide comfort and hope.
Often, people lack access to clean drinking water. The reason for this is the pollution of water sources by shipping, waste, sewage, or animals. As these water sources serve as a drinking water supply, people frequently suffer from infectious diseases such as fever, diarrhea, and vomiting. Due to insufficient medical care, these illnesses can lead not only to significant suffering but also to death. To reduce these diseases, our goal is to provide water filters and educate people about water hygiene. A water filter, along with its accessories, costs approximately $40 per household and can be used for many years with proper handling.
During the annual dry season, many of the shallower wells run dry, and during prolonged drought periods, even deeper wells can dry up. Our water distribution point assists people in bridging the acute water shortage during this time, which is not only life-easing but also life-saving. In the long run, there are plans to equip this distribution point with a filter to provide drinking water throughout the year.
Malnutrition in Villages
Our nutrition program aims to assist undernourished children in remote areas, thus preventing malnutrition and the resulting illnesses. Through critical nutritional support, we contribute to more children growing up healthy and being able to support their families.
On-Site Food for Children
Many children in our neighborhood regularly suffer from hunger. Instead of attending school, they have to beg on the streets or sell medicines or other items. Whenever possible, children participating in our events or projects should also receive food support.
Our motivation and inspiration stem from our belief in Jesus Christ. Our God has not only created us but has also demonstrated His infinite love for us through the sacrifice of His Son.
Through personal relationships, events, and collaboration with churches, we aim to share this love and hope with others.
Through logistical assistance such as transportation, medication procurement, and facilitating connections, we aid medical teams in efficiently carrying out their work.
Due to inadequate resources, illnesses often go untreated, and emergencies remain unattended. We are committed to bridging this gap and alleviating suffering.
In remote jungle villages, educational opportunities are often lacking. In Puerto Lempira, there is already a home for boys. We aim to provide young girls a home where they not only have the chance to attend school but also receive care within a family environment.
Even for children living in the city, attending school can be challenging. Here, we want to provide support to grant access to a better future.
